Spent a few days chilling on a beautiful island before heading to Bangkok!
5 days relaxing, eating & getting sunburnt.
5 days in Bangkok!
Arrived late and decided to go to a cannabis dispensary before dinner. Was a bad idea as John was freaking out on Khaosan road as it was a bit of a sensory overload 😂. Once it had mostly worn off after some drinks by the canals, we went back and had the best peanut butter, nutella, banana roti of the trip 😋
Started the day at the grand palace which was extremely glittery before heading to Yaowarat Rd, Chinatown for some gravy noodles (much better than they sound). In the afternoon we went to Talat Noi, the arty district, and had a walk around before going back to Chinatown for the famous night market! We ate oyster pancake, pad thai, chive cakes, scorpion and chili squid.
We had a big foodie morning with a £30 quid omelette stuffed to the brim with crab meat and a tom yum at Nhong Rim Klong and then a bowl of 50 year old beef noodle soup at Wattana Panich.
I (Nina) then did some shopping at Central World and in the evening we watched Muay Thai at the famous Rajadamnern Stadium (oldest Muay Thai stadium in the world) - free beers all night! Big up the Japanese fighters! 🥊🇯🇵
After, we back to Khaosan for some drinks and a fake michelin star meal and ended the night at a bar called Culture Cafe we found on RA; good tunes & a vinyl set.
Checked out Chatachuchak weekend market and ended the day back at Yaowarat road for more Thai/ Chinese food.
Had coconut fish curry noodles for breakfast and then got on a water taxi boat down the Chao Phraya river, past Wat Arun, to our next food destination Original Pad Krapow 1993 - the best pad krapow we had in Thailand and very spicy.
