Recipe from Maki. Uses white maize flour from the brand PAN. I would say this makes enough tortillas for two people.

Ingredients -

150 g harina de maiz (maize flour)
200 ml lukewarm water
0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

1
Mix the ingredients together in a bowl so that a smooth ball of dough is formed.
2
Split this into 7-10 balls depending on how big you want your tortillas.
3
If using a tortilla press, flatten the balls into a circle before place between two pieces of greaseproof paper before pressing. If you don't have a press, you can use a rolling pin to flatten the balls into a circle around a couple of cm thick. If not cooking immediately, cover the pressed tortillas with a damp cloth to prevent them from drying out.
4
Place the tortilla on a dry cast iron pan and on medium heat and cook for 40 second on one side and then flip for another 20 seconds on the other side. You know it's done when it starts to expand and form a bubble in the middle. Once cooked, cover with a dry towel while you do the rest.
